Sweet At One Girl Party Ideas
Jungle themes are always a popular choice for birthday celebrations, and our Sweet at 1 Girl party supplies really fit the bill! Plan a wonderful jungle themed party for your sweet little girl turning one. Featuring soft colors of pink, green, and yellow, accented with a dark chocolate brown, these birthday party supplies are fun to mix and match with our solid color party supplies for a great custom look. Try twisting together and hanging brown and green streamers to create a jungle vine look! Use cardboard carpet tubes and turn them into palm trees for a fun decoration; top them with green palm leaves cut out of construction paper and use our brown balloons as coconuts! Decorate the room with stuffed jungle animals; stuffed monkeys hanging from or mounted on your palm trees will look awesome! Need another great decorating tip? Balloon bouquets in green and brown add fullness and style to your décor, and then you can send a balloon home with each kid at the party!
How about your favors? Our Sweet at One Girl loot bags make providing favors easy! Fill them with headbands, blowouts, candies, pencils, stickers, and whatever else you can think of! Your little party guests will enjoy taking home a fun reminder of your little one’s big day.
Here’s a fun idea for a party game: Much like an Easter egg hunt, this simple contest indulges the love kids have of discovering surprises. Before anyone arrive, hide un-shelled peanuts about the yard or house. During the party, explain to the kids that they must act like elephants, and go out in search of a tasty meal! Give each child a plastic sand pail to collect their peanuts in, then send your trumpeting herd out into the wild. Offer a small prize for the guest who harvests the biggest crop!
Banana leaves centered on your table make a great starting point for your table decorations. Layer them on top of our table covers and top them off with a great centerpiece. You should also take a plate or napkin from the theme to your local bakery and ask that they match the colors on your cake. Or, get creative yourself! Jungle themed cakes and cupcakes are easy to make!
- Tiger Cake: Bake one 9" round cake and two cupcakes. Arrange cupcakes and cake on a platter so the round cake is the "face" and cupcakes - the "ears" of a tiger. Frost all cakes with orange frosting. Have a tube of chocolate decorator's icing on hand, and zig-zag the icing on the "tiger's face" for stripes. Decorate the "face": 2 green hard candies for eyes, assorted chocolate and jelly beans for nose and mouth, and black licorice for the whiskers.
- Jungle on a Log: Cut celery in about 5" lengths and fill with almond butter. Put some raisins (ants) on top. Kids can stick animal crackers in the almond butter so the crackers stand up. There you have it!
