• Make the birthday cake in the shape of a cupcake...using cupcakes!! Line up the cupcakes close together in the shape of a cupcake and frost the tops all together as one. Guests can peel away a cupcake from the bunch for their own "piece" of the cake.
• When decorating your cupcakes, make them look special by edging the tops of the cupcakes in sprinkles. Rather than putting sprinkles over the entire cupcake, roll the frosting edges in different colored frosting to add a cool accent to each cupcake!
• A great way to let the kids get creative and give them a tasty treat at the same time is to let them decorate cupcakes themselves! Give them bowls full of different colors of frosting, sprinkles and candy to decorate their own cupcake!
• Follow up your cupcake decorating activity with taking a picture of each kid, so when you write thank you notes for gifts to each family, you can include a photo of their own child that they can keep forever as a keepsake!
• For your party favors, a good thank you phrase to use for a treat themed party is "here's a treat, because you're so sweet!"
